Kuen Huang was called to the Bar in London in 1985. In 1986 she was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia and practised law in Kuala Lumpur for a period of 4 years.
Kuen was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Victoria, Australia, in 1991 and began practice in Sydney in one of the then most established law firms in Australia in its banking and later property law division.
After a period of 3 years at the Sydney law firm, Kuen joined a financial institution as a legal adviser in its in-house legal department and was later promoted to the position of in-house legal corporate head. The financial institution later became a bank through a merger. The banking and finance experience that Kuen gained at the said financial institution has provided vast assistance to her current practice.
Kuen later joined a leading property law firm in Sydney where she considerably broadened her experience in property law.
Kuen was a founding partner of Aequitas Attorneys in 1998 and is currently the principal of Aequitas Lawyers.
