Yee Wah Choong was admit­ted as a lawyer in Malaysia in 1973, in Sin­ga­pore in 1988 and in Syd­ney, New South Wales, in 1990.


Yee Wah has worked in a num­ber of lead­ing law firms both in Syd­ney and over­seas dur­ing her dis­tin­guished career and was a found­ing part­ner of Aequitas Attor­neys in 1998. Yee Wah is cur­rent­ly a Spe­cial Coun­sel at Aequitas Lawyers.


Yee Wah spe­cialis­es in Prop­er­ty Law, Cor­po­rate Law and Joint Ven­ture Law. She has act­ed in numer­ous land­mark prop­er­ty trans­ac­tions and devel­op­ments includ­ing the acqui­si­tion and sale of large office tow­ers, inter­na­tion­al hotels and major shop­ping cen­tres in Aus­tralia and over­seas.


Yee Wah also has con­sid­er­able exper­tise in com­mer­cial and retail leas­ing and has act­ed for build­ing and shop­ping cen­tre own­ers on all aspects of leas­ing.


Yee Wah has also advised clients in rela­tion to all aspects of cap­i­tal rais­ing through the issue of secu­ri­ties, prepa­ra­tion of prospec­tus­es and infor­ma­tion mem­o­ran­da, acqui­si­tions of com­pa­nies, com­pli­ance with the Cor­po­ra­tions Act and the List­ing Rules of the Aus­tralian Secu­ri­ties Exchange (ASX) and advis­ing for­eign enti­ties in rela­tion to the oper­a­tion of the For­eign Acqui­si­tions and Takeovers Act and appli­ca­tions for For­eign Invest­ment Review Board (FIRB) approvals.
