Yee Wah Choong was admitted as a lawyer in Malaysia in 1973, in Singapore in 1988 and in Sydney, New South Wales, in 1990.
Yee Wah has worked in a number of leading law firms both in Sydney and overseas during her distinguished career and was a founding partner of Aequitas Attorneys in 1998. Yee Wah is currently a Special Counsel at Aequitas Lawyers.
Yee Wah specialises in Property Law, Corporate Law and Joint Venture Law. She has acted in numerous landmark property transactions and developments including the acquisition and sale of large office towers, international hotels and major shopping centres in Australia and overseas.
Yee Wah also has considerable expertise in commercial and retail leasing and has acted for building and shopping centre owners on all aspects of leasing.
Yee Wah has also advised clients in relation to all aspects of capital raising through the issue of securities, preparation of prospectuses and information memoranda, acquisitions of companies, compliance with the Corporations Act and the Listing Rules of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and advising foreign entities in relation to the operation of the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act and applications for Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) approvals.
